The ASFU Fixer makes your Power Macintosh and Macintosh AV serial ports compatible with the GDT PowerPrint cable, a high speed serial-to-parallel converter.  It has been known to correct some problems with other serial devices on the Power Macintosh computers as well.  This system extension should not affect compatibility with other applications that use the serial ports.

  6. NOTE: Apple's Hardware Updater v3.0 makes ASFU Fixer unnecessary. If you have Updater 3.0 installed, do not install ASFU Fixer.

  10. 1)  Place the "ASFU Fixer" system extension in the Extensions folder (in the System Folder).
  11. 2)  Restart the Macintosh.
